"We order Rajapuri every year for our home pickle. This is the best batch we've had — firm flesh, no strings, holds in the jar beautifully. 20 kg next season."

Delivery FAQ
for Surat
Everything you need to know before ordering mangoes to Surat from our Valsad farm.
Fresh mango delivery in Surat — straight from our Valsad orchard
If you've been buying mangoes from local Surat markets and feeling vaguely disappointed — there's a good reason for that. The vast majority of mangoes sold in city markets have been ripened using calcium carbide, a chemical that forces the skin to turn yellow before the fruit has had time to develop its natural sugars. The result looks right and tastes wrong: uniform colour, flat sweetness, barely any fragrance.
At Vanamrit, we grow Kesar, Hapus, and Rajapuri mangoes on our own farm in Valsad — just 90 km from Surat. Every mango we sell is tree-ripened only, harvested at peak natural maturity, packed the same evening, and delivered to your Surat address the next morning. That 90-km distance is one of the shortest possible farm-to-city routes in Gujarat, which means you get the freshest possible fruit without the long transit times that compromise so many online mango deliveries.
The difference between a carbide-ripened mango and a tree-ripened Valsad Kesar is not subtle. The moment you open the box, before you've even cut anything, the fragrance tells you everything.
Why Surat is one of our favourite delivery cities
Surat has a long and deep relationship with mango culture. Gujarati households in Surat take aamras, mango pickle, and fresh mango season seriously in a way that most Indian cities simply don't. The tradition of making methia keri athanu — the famous Gujarati spiced mango pickle — is still alive in Surat kitchens, and Rajapuri is the variety that recipe has always called for. We see large bulk orders from Surat families every June, stocking up on raw Rajapuri for the entire year's supply of pickle.
Surat is also close enough to Valsad that we can offer genuinely next-day delivery without needing to pre-ripen or pre-treat the fruit for a long journey. What leaves our farm in the evening is on your Surat doorstep by morning. That's the supply chain we've built, and it's the reason our Surat customers come back season after season.
Kesar, Hapus, and Rajapuri — which variety is right for you in Surat?
If you want the finest fresh-eating mango in Gujarat, Kesar is your answer during May and June. Its deep saffron flesh, zero fibre, and concentrated sweetness make it the best mango for aamras and shrikhand — exactly the preparations Surat kitchens are famous for. Hapus (Alphonso) is available slightly earlier, from April, and appeals to anyone who loves the perfumed, buttery texture of the classic Alphonso without paying Ratnagiri prices. And Rajapuri — the largest of the three — is the practical choice: ideal for pickle-making in raw form from April, and excellent for large-batch aamras and fresh eating from June through August.
Not sure which to order? WhatsApp us with your intended use — aamras, pickle, gifting, or fresh eating — and we'll tell you exactly which variety is at peak right now and what box size makes sense for your household.
